Principal

Pravin Agarwal

Pravin Agarwal is a chartered accountant and finance change specialist with over two decades in insurance finance, investment operations and regulatory reporting. He has led target operating model design, platform selection and regulatory programmes for UK and European life insurers, asset managers and global custodians, and has run his own consultancy practice since 2016.

He qualified with EY, spending almost ten years in audit and assurance across life insurance, asset management and investment trusts in Kolkata and Edinburgh, and was selected for the firm's Accelerated Leadership Programme. He moved into industry as Head of Financial Reporting Development and later Head of Investments Accounting and Reporting at a major UK life and pensions group, then Head of Investment Accounting and Tax at a UK banking group, leading teams of up to 25.

Since 2016 he has worked through his own limited company on a succession of contract engagements: investment operations target operating models, IFRS 17 methodology, Solvency II asset data and reporting, and fair valuation frameworks for private credit and illiquid assets held on insurance balance sheets. He works as design authority and delivery lead - defining the target state, taking it through governance, and staying accountable through build, UAT and go-live rather than handing over at design stage.
